Son of Neil and Clemossiee I. (nee Van Allen) Munn, of Dresden, ON.
Pilot Officer Munn was direct descendant of one of the original founders of Dresden, William Van Allen. The DT 29/01/42 reported that Jack was training at RCAF-Hamilton when he was home to see his mother.
He was killed in a plane crash near Oshawa, Ontario while on Flight with student pilot. Buried in Dresden Cemetery.
Age: 23, DOAA – Date of Death: 03/09/1943, Flying Harvard trainer #3130 on a night cross-country training flight, into some fog. He was killed when he went down to orient himself and crashed into some trees on high ground three miles NW of Myrtle, ON.
