Trained in Chatham, in December 1942 was stationed at Three Rivers, Que., with the C.M.G.P.C. when he was home on a Christmas leave. He visited with his wife and family before returning to Quebec. CDN 29/12/42.  Also to Farnham, Que.

The CDN 2/06/43 reported he had returned to Farnham, PQ. after a five day furlough spent with his wife and family.

He went overseas in June 1943 and shortly after D-Day was in France, and Belgium, serving at H.Q. of the Military Police. In June 1945, he transferred to the Highland Light Infantry and proceeded to Holland. He returned to England in November 1945. The CDN 26/12/45 reported that he returned to Canada aboard the S. S. Queen Elizabeth.  

Wilfred Mulhern was promoted to Corporal.

Date of Discharge: February 1946.

Wilfred passed away in 1989.
