Donald was reported returned from duty in the West Indies and was on home leave before rejoining the navy for duty in the Pacific theatre. He was reported on a twenty one day leave from HMCS Stadacona, Halifax, NS., he would be reporting for overseas duty in the Pacific theatre upon his return. Promoted to Naval Seaman
