Donald served in the RCAF in Europe. He was discharged March 1946 and returned home, February 1946.
Married, Doris Foreman on November 15, 1948. Children, Brian, London; Linda, Thamesville, David, Calgary, Alberta, Dianne, Chatham. Seven grandchildren, Lesleigh, Christopher, Colleen, Melanie, Bonnie, Kimberly, Gabriella
Date of Death: February 22, 1990 at Chatham, Ontario; Buried in Duart Cemetery, Duart, Ontario

Donald’s brother writes – “Basic Training at #1 Manning Depot, Toronto, Ontario and Technical Training School, St. Thomas, Ontario; trained as an aircraft electrician. Went overseas to England November 1943. Joined RCAF Reconnaissance unit; went to Holland; finished his mission near Lunenburg, West Germany. Returned home in February 1946. Discharged March 1946. Returned to Labombard’s Auto Electric in Chatham where he retired in 1989.”
