The son of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Moorehouse of 118 Richmond St., Chatham. A native of Raleigh Twsp., Kent Co., and received his education in Chatham.

Robert enlisted in July of 1940 with the First Kent Regt. (active). According to the CDN 19/05/43, he transferred to go overseas.

While with the Kents, he played in the Pipe Band.
