Son of Mrs. Ellen Moore of Dresden, ON.   Corporal Moore was with the Essex Scottish Unit at Dieppe Raid and was taken prisoner of war. He was interned in German P.O.W. Camp and was liberated in 1945. He re-enlisted for Korean War, and received special Korean Services Medal and the United Nations Medal.

Reported liberated from German POW camp. CDN 11/05/45.

The CDN 29/06/45 reported that he and eleven other men would be returning to Canada aboard Vessel 889 and there after would arrive in London, ON. Next of Kin: His mother.

Discharged August 23rd, 1945 W.W. 2

Ross passed away 29 November, 1970.
