Signaller in the Kent Regiment Reserve.
Signaller Moir was on convoy duty in the Atlantic, for eighteen months where he made ten complete trips from St. Johns Nfld. to Londonderry Ireland and was on the H.M.C.S Prince Rupert when it sighted and sunk a submarine. He was later transferred to the west coast of the Pacific to refit for the invasion of Japan which never materialized.
He was promoted to Stoker and received the usual ribbons and decorations.
