The daughter of Marie and Frank A. Mindorff of Lacroix St., Chatham, ON, born in Home Lake, Saskatchewan, the sister of Angela (O’Neil) and Gerald, Catherine (Roesch), Sister Rose, Claudia (Haslam), Frank A59805 and Bob. The family were living at 236 Lacroix St., Chatham, ON.

Marie enlisted in the RCAF 7/03/1942. and was stationed at Havergal College, Toronto, ON.

In June of 1942 AW1 was stationed at RCAF Jarvis when she had a brief stay at the family home while her brother Frank was home on leave. CDN 13/06/42

She married Lyle F. Gerber (1997) CDN 18/08/53. and worked on their Harwich farm. Marie passed away Monday, 10 November, 2014, burial was in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Chatham, ON.

AW2 Marie stationed at RCAF   St. Thomas was home on her first leave to visit with her parents, CDN 4/04/42.  Stationed at RCAF No. 1 Bombing and Gunnery School at Jarvis, ON., when she had a brief stay at the family home while her brother Frank was home on leave. CDN 13/06/42  The CDN 13/12/43 reported that Corporal Mindorff was spending a Sunday with her parents.

The CDN 9/03/44 reported that Cpl. Mindorff of RCAF-Jarvis ON spending the day with her parents.

The CDN 19/07/44 reported that Cpl. Mindorff had been stationed at RCAF- Jarvis for the past two years was home on a week-end furlough. She left for RCAF-Trenton to take a six week  NCO course.
