Born at Foam Lake, Saskatchewan in 1920 the son of Mr. Frank A. and Marnie Mindorff of 236 Lacroix St., Chatham, ON. The brother of AW1 Marie W302246.

Frank enlisted in 1942. Frank joined the Royal Canadian Ordinance Corp in March of 1942. CDN 6/03/42. Pte. Mindorff was on a ten day leave from the R.C.O.C. to visit his family in Chatham in June of 1942. CDN 13/06/42. He was reported returning from overseas aboard the S.S. Mauretania in the CDN 3/01/46.

Arrived aboard the S.S. Mauritania from overseas docked at Halifax NS. 1 January, 1946.

The husband of Jean (nee Sherbourne), the father of Theresa (English), Richard, Joe, Ray and Tony. Jean and Frank met during the war, she moved to Canada and they were married in Chatham in 1949. Jean passed away 26/01/2017.
