Pte. George E. Millar went overseas with the 186th Battalion, embarking on the “Lapland” March 28th, 1917. While training in England he was attached to the Signal Corps for a short time, and crossed to France October 16th, 1917, to the 1st Battalion. In the Battle of Amiens, August 8th, 1918, he was wounded, and was admitted to Cheltenham Hospital August 13th. He was transferred to Epsom Convalescent Hospital October 26th, and embarked from Rhyl for Canada on S.S.Aquitania, arriving at Halifax January 25th, 1919.
Private George E. Millar received his discharge February 18th, 1919, due to demobilization.
