Donald was born in Vancouver, B.C. on February 15, 1911.  Next of Kin are parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Miller of Cedar Springs, Ontario.  Brothers are Gordon, Edward, Douglas “Dusty” Haig,   Sisters are Winnifred (Winnie), Janet, Margaret (Mrs. James Fox).

Enlisted at Camp Bordon.  Served in Canada, England and Italy.
