From Thamesville, ON. Son of John W. and Frances Millen; husband of Mary Evangeline Millen, the father of John. of Chatham, Ontario, brother of Major Harry Millen serving with the British and was wounded in action on 19 May, 43. He also had a sister, Veronica Millen R.N. of Thamesville.
Evangeline was living at 70 Prince Arthur Ave., Chatham, ON., they had no children.
Ted went overseas on the SS Orantes.
A week after the raid on Dieppe Edwin’s father received word that his son was MIA. His wife was still awaiting news of her husbands whereabouts.
In September of 1942 Edwin’s parents had not been informed on the status of their son after the Dieppe raid. CDN 29/09/42. The CDN 20/10/43 reported that he was reported as killed in action.
Age: 32, KIA – Date of Death: 19/08/1942, at Dieppe.
