Private Meehan served in the South African War.
He went overseas with the 1st. Canadian Contingent Sept. 29, 1914, proceeding to France with the 1st battalion Feb. 18, 1915.
He received wound in the right arm Apr. 16, and after three weeks hospital treatment returned to this unit.
He was killed in action June 15, 1915.
