Lieutenant George B. McQuarrie trained the Cadets, as Captain, from Sault St. Marie to Niagra Falls, for two seasons and also trained the Cadets at Oakwood Collegiate, Toronto.
Lieutenant George B. McQuarrie was stationed at Cobourg, Barriefiend and Valcartier with the 139th Battalion, and was promoted to Captain in 1916. He reverted to Lieutenant to enter the R.A.F. in November 1916, when he went overseas, proceeding to France in May 1917. attached to 4th Squadron where he remained until March 1919 as test pilot at A.S.D. except for two and a half months’ special training course and instructions in England. he returned to Canada May 1919.
Discharged from active service and placed on retired list due to demobilization May 20th 1919.
