Sapper McDougall was transferred from London to Brockville for training and left for overseas June 28 1918.

He was stationed in Sussex, England, where he received his stripe, and proceeded to France Sept. 29.

While his unit proceeded from Bourlon Woods to Camgrai he was sent back to No. 30 Casualty Clearing Station where he died of pneumonia Oct. 6, 1918.
