Private McCorvie enlisted in May 1915 with the 56th Infantry Battalion at Calgary, AB.
After training two months at Source Camp, he was drafted overseas July 5, and attached to the 30th Reserve Battalion, Shornecliffe.
On Oct. 13, he was sent to France with reinforcements for the 5th battalion and employed as Runner.
After eight months service in the trenches, he was killed in action at Ypres, Hill 60, June 6, 1916.
