Born in Chatham, ON., the son of John and Maggie (nee McLaren) McCorvie, his father was a merchant.
Dr. McCorvie was a self employed Physician living at 216 Oakland Drive, Meridian, Ingram, Michigan. In the 1930 and 1940 census he was married and had a wife and a son living in Meridian, Michigan. His Next of Kin was a Wilfred McCorvie, 142 King St. West, Chatham, ON.
Dr. McCorvie was drafted to the US Army in 1942. The time of his enlistment he was residing with his wife and son at Miridian, Michigan.
Private Charles Ray McCorvie served three years with the 24th Kent Regiment, Ambulance Corps and obtained Sergeant’s certificate. He also trained with the C.C.I. cadets.
Private Charles Ray McCorvie served in the Infantry at Niagara Camp until discharged for the Royal Air Force as a Cadet. He was transferred in June to the Canadian Army Medical Corps, London, Ontario, where he served until his discharge.
Private Charles Ray McCorvie received his discharge January 18th, 1919, due to demobilization.
