The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. NcClinton and the  brother of Ted McClinton of 1038 Elizabeth St., Wallaceburg, ON.   

Cfmn McClinton had been overseas since 1942 and was serving in Italy, it was on 27 January, 1945 when he suffered a double fracture of his right ankle, at the time it was thought that he may be in hospital for two to three months. CDN 19/02/45.

Roy had been serving overseas for more than three years.
