Lieutenant I. Lewis McCall was Officer Commanding of the Signalling Section of the 241st Battalion until April 23rd, 1917, when he reverted to Private to go overseas with this unit but was promoted to Sergeant prior to sailing the latter part of April 1917. On arrival in England he again reverted to Private transferring to the Signalling Section of the Gordon Highlanders. In January 1918, he was attached to the 1st Brigade Signal Base, West Sandling. In March 1918 he crossed to France and was wounded Sept 2nd and sent to 18thV.A.D. Hospital Brighton, then to Bexhill Convalescent Hospital thence the Camp Post Office Witley. He left for Canada Feb 1919. # 1046003
Discharged at London March 19th 1919 due to demobilization.
