Born in Raleigh Twsp., Kent Co. ON. 4/10/1917

Earl enlisted 6/03/1944, trained at Camp Borden and was transferred to Deburge, PQ. to await an overseas draft. However due to his ‘weak eyesight, he was returned to Camp Bordon where he enlisted in Non-Commissioned Officer Training.

He worked as a L/Cpl.  In the Guard House and as a drill instructor to new recruits. At some point he was transferred overseas.

Earl was discharged from the army 11/04/1946.

Earl and family lived most of their married life in Florence, ON.
