Lieutenant Keyworth W. Mayhew trained with the Collegiate Institute Cadets, Ridgetown August 1911 – June 1915.

Lieutenant Keyworth W. Mayhew received his ground training at the Jesse Ketchum school, Toronto, at Camp Borden, Long Branch, the School of Aeronautics, Toronto, and the Armament School, Hamilton; flying at Camp Borden, Leaside and Beamsville. He completed his course October 31st, 1918, receiving his commission for overseas, but, the Armistice being signed, he was sent back to Toronto.

Gazetted out of service Feb 1st 1919 due to demobilization.
