Went overseas with the 15th, Field Ambulance Division in August 1942, after receiving his training at Valcartier, Quebec and Sussex, New Brunswick. He was recommended for a commission and returned to Canada after fourteen months in England, for Officer training. Reached the rank of Lieutenant in the Canadian Infantry Corps and was awarded the C.V.S.M. and Clasp and the British Defence Medal.
Discharged November 16th, 1945.
