It was reported that Johnny had another brother serving in the Canadian Army in Italy. [That would be S. G. Maryanovich, Gunner, B142637].  

Johnny was serving in Holland when he sent a thank you to the Chatham Police and Firemen for sending him cigarettes for Christmas in 1944. CDN 15/02/45.
