The only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Martin of Inshes Avenue, Chatham.

AC2 Martin had been stationed at Lachine Quebec when he was given a furlough to visit his parents. CDN 12/04/43   The CDN 6/10/43 reported that LAC Martin then stationed at I.T. S Belleville, ON. was on a ten day furlough visiting his parents. 

The CDN reported that Sgt. Gerald W. Martin, at Number 4, Air Observers’ School – RCAF had his graduation. He was entertained at Wong’s Café in Windsor, ON. and was the “recipient of many useful gifts”.  CDN 24/04/44.     

Served overseas eleven months. Promoted to the rank of Flight Sergeant and awarded the Air Bombers Badge. C.V.S.M. and Clasp and the 1939 to 1945 Star.
