Son of  Mr. and Mrs. Deo Marchand of Tilbury, ON., brother of  Garard and Maurice also in service. At eighteen years old, Raymond enlisted in the R.C.N.V.R. The CDN 17/04/44 reported that he was reported at HMCS Hunter Training Station in Windsor.
