Donald was born in Wallaceburg, ON on August 27th, 1919 to Pearl (nee Benn) and Murdo MacKenzie. He enlisted while still a resident of Wallaceburg and ended up serving with the Military Police – #9 Provost Corps. He passed away in his 75th year on April 9th, 1994 in London, ON.
Of Wallaceburg, ON. The WN 23/03/44 reported that L/Cpl. Mackenzie was on ‘active’ service.
