The son of Mrs. S. E. Lowrie of 168 King St. West, Chatham, ON.  A former student of the Chatham Vocational School. He had a brother F.O. E.H. Lowrie who was stationed at RCAF – North Battleford, SK., and also had a sister. Jack enlisted in the RCAF in October 1941 at the Toronto Manning Pool. CDN 8/10/41. He was reported being home from his training at Windsor Mills, PQ. CDN 4/09/42.

The CDN 1/02/43 received his Wings at Mont Joli, PQ. on 22/01/43. He spent his furlough in Chatham leaving his posting as an Instructor. 

The CDN 22/09/44 (P) reported that Jack was serving in England as an Air Gunner. His father S. E. Lowrie was reported to also being in England with the RCR.
