It is reported that Morley arrived in France with the 5th Batt. Cdn. Inf. It would appear that most of his time was spent going from hospital to hospital.
It became identified as PUO.
Pyrexia of unknown origin (PUO) is a syndrome that has long tested the skills of physicians to achieve a diagnosis in affected patients. By definition, patients included in this syndrome will be more difficult to diagnose as they have already resisted classification during baseline investigations.
13/12/18 he is admitted to No.7 Cdn Hospital at Estaples, Transferred to 1st West General Hospital at Liverpool, England. 24/01/1919 transferred to the Military Hospital – Epson. 28/01/1919. Transferred to Woodcote – Epson and finally Discharged from the Army 15/03/1919.
His “Discharge Certificate” states he was serving with the 211th Batt. 20/03/1918. He embarked at Halifax for England 16/05/18, arriving at Liverpool 27/05/18. He served in France with the 31st Bn. His discharge date was 20/05/1919 from the 31st Batt.
It was reported that on 21/01/1965 Morley C. Lounsbury passed away 18/01/1965 at Westminister Hospital, London, ON. S.T.M.O. at London, ON. 21/01/65
