The son of Thomas and Larah Longmore of Raleigh Twsp., Kent Co., ON. William married Patricia Edna Taylor, the daughter of Medical Sgt. Percy E. Taylor, First Kent Regt. Married at Christ Church, Chatham.

Served with the Kent Regiment (M.G.)

The CDN (date unknown) reported that William, residing on Murray St., Chatham, has been given the task of Legion Secretary. He replaced D. H. Rawlings who retired the position after fourteen years 

William had been discharged from the Army two years ago after receiving injuries on the West Coast. Prior to his appointment he was acting assistant to Mr. Rawlings.
