Allan lived in Thamesville and joined the Air Force in 1939. He was in Uplands near Ottawa for 2 1/2 year and Centrillia for 2 1/2 years.

Due to a car accident he became and Air Frame Mechanic and was assigned to the Ground Crew in Canada only.

He was awarded the War Medal for service between September 3, 1939 to September 2, 1945.
