The son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Lindsay. Albert was home on leave from Brandon, MB. In September of 1942. He had bragged to his fellow trainees about the size of the fruit being grown in the Blenheim area and he had proof. While visiting the farm of Joseph Braybrook near Cedar Springs he found a Duchess pear weighing one pound, five ounces and five inches, not counting the stem and a girth of 12 inches. CDN 24/09/42

Albert was reported returned from overseas in May 1945, KCFA 3/05/45.
