Clark was born 26/04/1920  The son of Joseph Nephi Leverton and Anne (nee Badder).  Clark was raised by his maiden aunt Maude Dixon.

The husband of Eleanor (nee Kearns), father to Christine (Stanway), Betty (Armstrong), John and Gordon.  

Clark served overseas in England and in Italy as a stretcher bearer. According to a veteran who served with Clark, he “never carried a gun and never left a man on the field dead or alive”. “He was a brave man”.

Christine (Stanway): “Remember her father telling her about how weird it was going through the Gibraltar Straight into the Mediterranean with the ship in total darkness on the African side. They were silent running he said it was very eerie. They landed in Sicily and worked their way up into Italy.”

He was a Private in the Kent Regt (A.F. 

As with many veterans that served at the front, he seldom talked about his war nor the toll it took on him.  It was told by a relative he suffered a nervous break down near the end of the war.  “ He had a nervous break down near the end of the war and also had his appendix out while over there.” He was released on compassionate grounds.  He served from 29th of June until 11 August, 1945. He had served in Canada, England, and the Central Mediterranean Area.

Clark passed away in 5 /07/2004. CDN-Obit (wife) 23/01/15. Clark is buried at the Matthew Mount Pleasant Cemetery at No. 21 Highway North of Thamesville.
