The son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Letoureau. Lloyd was employed at the Libby, McNeill and Libby and the Ontario Steel Products prior to his enlistment. LAC. R145229, RCAF. 39 Recce Wing. Lloyd had originally enlisted with the Kent Regt. as a Pte. A59217.
The CDN 16/03/43 (P) reported that Lloyd had arrived overseas according to a cable received by his parents. He changed from the Army to the RCAF.
The WN 23/03/44 reported that LAC Letourneah was on ‘active service’ The Wallaceburg News reported that he was serving overseas with the RCAF. WN.-date unknown.
Served one year in Canada. Transferred to another regiment and served in England, Sicily, Italy. Was wounded and hospitalized in Italy and England.
Discharged January 31st, 1946.
