Born in 1927, the son of James and  Mable Lenover. The brother of Eva and Charles, Gerald, Walter and Keith; Jack was the youngest. He attended the Central School in Chatham. Attended the Chatham Vocational School were he took a commercial course.

Jack joined to RCNVR in 1944, enlisting at HMCS Hunter, in Windsor, ON. He trained at London, Toronto, Winnipeg, MB. and HMCS Cornwallis, NS. There was no mention of ‘Sea Duty’.

Date of Birth:  February 20, 1926 in Chatham.  Next of Kin:  Maxine Lenover, Wife

Trained at Cornwallis and promoted to the rank of Able Seaman.

Theatre of Service:  East Coast.

Discharged April 2nd, 1946.

After the war he attended Emmaus Bible College in Toronto for one year and then attended the Canada Business College in Chatham, ON. He started to work at Lenover Meat with his brother Gerald, Walter and Keith in 1949 retiring in 1995.

Jack married too Maxine (nee Coulter) for 67 years.

Jack was a member of Gregory Drive Alliance Church serving as a youth leader and Elder 

Jack passed away 31 December, 2017 and is buried at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham, ON. CDN 3/01/18 (P).
