Jim transferred from the 91st to the 70th battalion, going overseas Apr. 18, 1916.
He was stationed at Dibgate Farm, Shorncliffe, England until drafted to France, transferring to the 18th battalion with which unit he served continuously until July 1918 when he transferred to the Canadian Engineers.
He was killed in action Aug. 31, 1918.
