Lincoln & Welland Regt. The son of Mr. and Mrs. (nee Neeley) Rufus Law of Dresden, ON. the brother of Allan Fergus RCAF. Their father was the Fire Chief in Dresden. Both of the Law brothers serving and younger brother Murray were delivery boys for the Chatham Daily News in Dresden. CDN 18/11/44.
Harold enlisted in the Canadian Armoured Corp at Windsor, ON. 20/11/1942. He trained at Stratford, Camp Borden and Hamilton, he was 22 years old.
The DT 25/03/43 reported that Harold was stationed at Camp Borden when he received a weekend leave. In April of 1943 the DT 8/04/43 reported that Tpr. Law was traing with the Tank Corp at Camp Borden when he was given a weekend leave. In 1943 Harold was stationed at Camp Borden when he had a weekend pass to see his parents. DT 6/05/43 Home again in June of 1943, on a weekend leave from Camp Borden DT 3/06/43
Tpr. Law was still training at Camp Borden when he was given a weekend leave to visit his parents. He would transfer to No.1 Battalion of the Winnipeg Grenadiers after arriving in England. The DT 30/11/44 (P) reported that Harold and his brother were in active service in England.
Discharged March 26th, 1946.
Harold passed away 23/08/79.
