Lorne was born on June 18, 1917 in Wallaceburg.  He was the son of Joseph and Mary Lauzon.  In Windsor he attended St. Anne’s Elementary and W.D. Lowe Schools.  He then worked at the M. and P. Grocery Store as a clerk.  He enlisted in September 1939 and was trained at Camp Borden. 

Lorne went overseas and trained some more and died during Operation Jubilee – his body never found. 

Lorne was KIA Aug. 19 1942 at Dieppe.  His brother Lloyd Leo survived Dieppe.

Lorne is remembered on the Brookwood Memorial in England and the honour roll at W.D. Lowe School.
