Born in 1921 at Chatham, ON., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lauriston of 35 Stanley Ave., Chatham, ON.  The brother of Cpl. John A. Lauriston B74528.

Wilfred enlisted in January of 1943.  The CDN 16/03/47 had returned to Orillia after spending a weekend with his parents.   He was reported returning to Borden in the CDN 13/09/43.  The CDN 24/09/43 reported that Wilfred then stationed at Camp Borden was spending a weekend with his parents in Chatham.  The CDN 27/10/43 reported that he had returned to Camp Borden after spending a weekend with his parents.   He served as a Clerk in Toronto and at Camp Borden with the RCOC.  Still at Camp Borden in February 1944 Wilfred was again home on leave and returning. CDN 1/02/44, 29/02/4

The CDN 20/01/45 reported that Sgt. Wilfred Lauriston then serving in the RCOC at Camp Borden was visiting his parents in Chatham.
