Private James Edward Lane trained two months with the 24th Regiment, Chatham, Ontario.
Private James Edward Lane was sent to St. Thomas to the 91st Battalion and late returned to the 186th Battalion. He received his discharge April 4th, 1916, as medically unfit for military service. Being drafted in 1918 he was placed in category E and later in category A. He then trained with the Canadian Engineers, Carling Heights, London, from August 1st, 1918, to his discharge.
Private James Edward Lane received his discharge January 3rd, 1919, due to demobilization.
