The son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Lamb of Port Crewe on rural route 3 Merlin. The brother of Pte. William H. Lamb. The CDN 27/05/43 Reported that Pte. Frederick was returning to the west coast after a two week furlough with his parents.

Cpl. Lamb had been on ‘active service’ with the Kents for two years and ten months showing himself to be a willing soldier. He had been injured while on duty and as a result of that injury was no longer able to meet the military physical requirements for active service.

He was granted an honourable discharge and he returned to civilian life.
