The son of Dr. and Mrs. W. E. Lake of Ridgetown. Osgood and his wife were visiting his parents and brother Dr. Douglas Lake of Hamilton.

The CDN 24/12/43 reported Sub-Lieut. Lake of Quebec City, PQ. had arrived home on a holiday leave.

They returned to Quebec City. CDN 1/03/44

The CDN 1/04/44 reported he had been on a ten days leave with his wife and baby son left for Quebec City, PQ.     

The CDN 22/01/45 reported that Sub-Lieut. Lake RCNVR at HMCS Hunter accompanied by his wife and small son, where spending the week with parents in Ridgetown.
