14/12/17 – 186th Bn. 19/04/16 – 21/03/17, S.S. unit 21/03/17 to 7/12/17 – “This soldier complained of pain in Right knee joint proper which is practically Conatant but is aggravated by marching or drilling. He can only march about three miles when knee become painful and he has to fall out. Otherwise he is Fit, Heart, Lungs and other organs normal.” 

Pte. John J. Lacount was transferred from the 186th Battalion to the No.1 Special Service Company, serving as Cook for the Officers’ mess. He was discharged in December.

Pte. John J. Lacount received his honorable discharge December 14th, 1917, being unfit for military service due to a defective leg.

His injury a result of a fall prior to enlistment.

It was determined that he be placed in some unit in Category “C” 111- Approved 8/12/17.
