The son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Labadie of Victoria St., of Tilbury, ON. He went overseas in 1943.
Pte. Labadie served in Montgomery’s 8th Army in Africa, and Italy. After V-E Day he was with the forces in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He had a brother Pete serving in the RCAMC and was still overseas.
The CDN 24/10/45 reported he was among service personnel aboard the S.S. Ile de France, which arrived at Halifax, NS.
