Private George Labadie went overseas with the 99th Battalion in June 1916, and proceeded to France drafted to the 19th Battalion. He was wounded September 18th, 1916, and after eighteen months hospital treatment in England and furlough, he returned to France May 29th. He was again wounded August 28th, 1918.
