The son of Donald and Bertha Labadie. Prior to Don’s enlistment he was a cook at the Chatham Hotel.

Trained four months in Canada. Went overseas and served in England, Northwest Europe and Scandinavia.

Donald enlisted with the Essex Scottish in December 1941. Reported as serving overseas in June, 1942. CDN 3/07/42(P)  Donald was reported returning to Canada aboard the Queen Elizabeth. CDN 17/11/45(P)

Discharged January 19th, 1946

Donald passed away 14 January, 2000.
