Husband of Mary (nee York), father of William, Marion and Muriel (Houle). The CDN 8/10/42 reported that Fred was with the RCAF Radio Dept. and was on a weekend leave at his home.

It was reported in the CDN 9/09/42 that Fred left Fletcher for Hamilton to join the RCAF. CDN 9/09/42 The CDN 8/10/42 reported that Fred was with the RCAF Radio Dept. and was on a weekend leave at his home.

The CDN 24/02/43 “Fletcher” section reported James and Mary were guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Fletcher.

James was reported visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kirby of Merlin, ON in January of 1944 along with his wife. The MS13/01/44 reported spending a fortnight with his wife and his parents in Merlin. The MS 31/08/44 reported that LAC James was returning to Whitehorse, NWT.  He was stationed in British Columbia for the last year.

James was enjoying a two weeks furlough after being stationed on the Pacific coast for the past seven months.  

Fred worked at and retired from International Harvester in Chatham, ON.

Fred passed away in 1991.
