Regimental number: 213440.  RG 150, Accession 1992-93/166, Box 5192 – 24, Box 5191-22, Item: 500794; PDF 5191-S022. Born in Wheatley, Kent Co., ON. The son of Calvin and Fanny Kinsler of Port Alma, ON., the brother of Charles of 268 Janette Ave., Windsor, ON. and Mrs. Estella Bowler of 238 Howard Ave., Windsor, ON. A single fisherman.

Attestation: 4/01/1916 at Windsor ON. age 34 yrs. 9 mos. To the 99thth Batt. He went overseas with the 99th Battalion, arriving in England aboard the S.S. Olympic arriving 8/06/1916. He arrived at Shorncliffe with the 99th TOS and tratsferred to the 35th Batt. 8/07/16. He waould be transferred to the 35th Batt. for training. In December of 1917 he was SOS with the 35th and transferred to the 52nd  at West Sandling 28/12/16 

Frank was hospitalize for a short time with a skin disease before being sent to France. He landed in France 29/12/1917.

Pte. Frank Kinsler DOW in action 30 Sept. 1918 at the age of  37 years while serving with the 52nd Battalion. He is buried at Terlincthun British Cemetery at Boulogne, France.
