Son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert King of the Tilbury area.

In October of 1940 Earl was at the RCAF Air Training School at Trenton, ON., when he was granted a fourteen day furlough to visit his family in Tilbury. Earl was training at Trenton in June of 1941. Stll at Trenton, Earl was granted a weekend leave at his parents. TT 7/08/41 and was reported on leave to visit his parents from Trenton Air Station in November of 1941. Christmas 1941 saw Earl at his parents home on leave from Trenton.  

In May of 1942 Earl was taking training at Crumlin when he received a week-end furlough to visit his parents. A weekend furlough was granted from Trenton in May of 1942 to visit his parents. TT 7/05/42. Earl had a fortnight’s leave in June of 1942 from his duties at Trenton to visit his parents CDN 8/06/42  and TT 11/07/42. Earl was reported at Central Flying School in July of 1942. TT 30/07/42. 

The CDN 19/08/44 reported Cpl. King was spending a nine day leave with his parents.
