CDN 21/10/39. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kime of Elizabeth St., Chatham. Next of Kin was listed as Mrs. Margaret H. Kime of 59 Elizabeth St. Chatham, ON. A native of Chatham he had graduated from the Royal Military College, Kingston in 1931.

Before mobilization he was with the 1st Kents with the rank of Captain as assistant adjutant at Camp Borden. He returned to to Chatham when the Kents were called out and he rejoined as a company commander with the rank of Major. He was The CDN 11/05/44 reported that he had been appointed to the 1st Kent Regt. then serving in Victoria, BC. as part of the Pacific Command 

Previous military experience… He was a Graduate from the Royal Military Collage, in Kingston, and was adjutant to the Kent Regiment (M.G.)

Served in Canada three years. Reverted to Lieutenant to go overseas in 1942. Returned to the Kents on the West Coast and was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. Returned to Europe as Major. Received the Efficiency Decoration.

The CDN 5/09/44 reported that Lieut. Col. Kime was stationed on the west coast.  

The CDN 31/12/45 reported that he returned to Canada aboard the S. S. Mauritania. Arrived in Halifax aboard the S.S. Mauritania docking 1/01/1946.

Discharged February 13th, 1946.
