Pte. William Kett left for overseas June 14th, 1916, proceeding to France two months later, attached to a Trench Motor Battery, 3rd Division. After three weeks trench service he was wounded in the arm, receiving Hospital treatment from August 13th to October 2nd. He was moved from the Belgium to the French front in December, 1917, and again wounded in the knee in March, 1918, being admitted to Bramshott Hospital, England.
